ACGF‘s first online meeting

ACGF‘s first online meeting The Arctic Coast Guard Forum Secretariat held its first online meeting via WebEx, a web-based video- and teleconferencing software, on May 28th, 2020. Seven Arctic nations were represented, but due to technical obstacles, not everybody was able to participate.

The meeting was successful. It began with opening remarks by the Icelandic Coast Guard and a review of the Icelandic chairmanship timeline in light of the extraordinary circumstances.

The Icelandic Coast Guard plans to have another online meeting in late-August or early-September. The ICG is exploring further opportunities to develop online collaboration for the Arctic Coast Guard Forum.
